"Cultivating knowledge of Polish history, culture, traditions and language throughout the Suncoast of Florida"
Since 1975, The Polish-American Association of Sarasota, Inc. (PAAoS) has been a leader in promoting the rich Polish history, culture, traditions, and language.
The PAAoS sponsors many activities designed for not only its many members, but also anyone interested in learning more about one of the world’s strongest nations – and a major ally of the United States … dating back to America’s War for Independence.
Monthly meetings (September – May) feature lively and friendly conversation that includes fun food and refreshments. In addition, the PAAoS sponsors annual musical concerts, periodic lectures, awarding of scholarships, and celebrating General Casimir Pulaski Day in October and Polish Independence Day in November when the Ignacy Paderewski Civic Achievement Awards are presented. The PAAoS also supports the activities of other Polish organizations on the Suncoast, including the Mikołaj Kopernik Polish Saturday School in Sarasota.
The Polish-American Association of Sarasota, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. The PAAoS is also a proud member of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County.
